Toyota Industries Corporation joins Fortune Most Admired list for fourth straight year

For the fourth consecutive year, Toyota Industries Corporation (TICO) has been recognized by global business leaders as one of the world’s 50 most admired companies, according to a new survey published by Fortune magazine.

Number 46 on this year's list, TICO took over the number one ranking in the industry segment Motor Vehicle Parts. TICO moved up from its previous number two position, winning particularly high marks for its quality of products and services, quality of management, financial soundness, global competitiveness, people management and its value as a long-term investment.

The definitive report card on corporate reputations, this year’s Fortune list of the world's most admired companies is based on a survey of more than 4,000 executives, directors, and securities analysts. A total of 689 companies from 28 countries were surveyed.

In addition to its automotive-related business, TICO is the world leader in materials handling equipment, with these activities centralized within its Toyota Material Handling Group (TMHG). Toyota Material Handling Europe (TMHE) is the European regional organization of TMHG.

TMHE President Håkan Dahllöf said: “We are very honoured to be part of an organization recognized by business leaders as one of the world's most admired companies. As part of Toyota Industries Corporation – the world leader in materials handling – Toyota Material Handling Europe is committed to being a reliable business partner during these challenging times.”

Toyota Motor Corporation finished third overall on this year’s Fortune list.
