Toyota Industries Corporation climbs in most admired list 

Toyota Industries Corporation (TICO) has climbed an impressive eight places in the annual Fortune magazine survey, to become the 28^th most admired company in the world. T ICO’s materials handling division is the world leader in its industry, with more Toyota forklifts sold around the world than any other brand. Toyota Material Handling Europe is the European regional organisation of the Toyota Material Handling Group, which is part of Toyota Industries Corporation.

  The Fortune survey also names another of TICO’s four businesses, its motor vehicle parts division, as the most admired in the Motor Vehicle Parts list for the second consecutive year.  Toyota Motor Corporation is named as the second most admired company in the world.

  The global Fortune most admired list is seen by many as the definitive report on corporate reputations, with business leaders asked to name the companies that they admire the most, both in their own sector and any other. The results are compiled into one all-star most admired list and 27 industry sector lists. Respondents are asked to award companies in their industry marks out of ten across nine different categories including innovation, quality of products/services, social responsibility and quality of management. In addition to awarding points to companies within their own industry, respondents are also asked to rank their top ten companies across all industries; the results of which are used to compile the all-star top 50 list.
